WILLAMINA OR
Willamina is also called “The gateway to the Coast” being that it’s only 30 miles from Oregon’s popular coastal towns of Lincoln city and Pacfic City. But it’s more common nickname is “Timber town USA.” Back in 1879, Willamina was not much more than a mill on the river, since then timber products, brick production and farming made this little dot on the map a driving economy and continues to thrive with these occupations to this day.
Right off of OR99w, Willamina also provides access to Portland, Salem, Corvallis, Eugene and McMinnville, making it the perfect woodsy community right outside of town. Willamina’s vision statement is “A promising community that promotes family, economic growth, and citizen involvement while honoring its rich history” and it truly breathes that sentiment.
